We respect the artistic work and the rights of Auguste Rodin.
The Musée Rodin Paris is endowed with the status of beneficiary of Auguste Rodin. These properties are defined in the legislation on literary and artistic property. The main mission of the museum is to make known Auguste Rodin's work and to ensure respect for the moral right associated with it.
The "Gate of Hell" (''La Porte de l'Enfer'' in French) is a work by Auguste Rodin and is part of the three gifts made in 1916 by Auguste Rodin to the French State.
The initiative's "Hellgate Bucha" is based in one component on the idea of Auguste Rodin's "Gate of Hell". It is artistically reinterpreted for the project and undergoes significant changes as well as a different orientation. In addition, the contemporary historical context and construction is to be considered as a completely new aspect. We would like to imperatively point out these differences and work out a communication in consultation so that Auguste Rodin's legacy is preserved.
